My best suggestion is that you should seek application fee waivers from all tier one law schools that interest you. I suspect that the T-6 law schools are out. Plan to apply to as many tier one law schools as feasible.

lawschoolpredictor.com for a basic / initial list of schools your should target

then look at lawschoolnumbers.com to see which schools from that list admit splitters like yourself (high LSAT / low LSN)

edit: My guess is probably in the WUSTL / GW/ BU type of schools...

my list of schools right now is cardozo, fordham , st. johns , and nyu. I am not too concerned about getting in to a top 10 law school. I just want to know if top 50 is possible. I know my gpa is low. But i did have a hard major went to a prestigious school in bucknell and was also an athlete. And i hope my lsat shows i can do the work.

Northwestern should be at the top of your list. Also Gulc, wustl, UMinn and others with no or low gpa floors. Nyu is unlikely. I'd look at the "how to be a successful splitter" guide. Search for it. It will be extremely insightful.

Easily... school will droll over a 174 LSAT

Look at LSN... see which schools have a gpa floor and which don't

I don't think you have any shot at NYU though... If you want to take one T14 shot I'd take it on NU as Top30 said

I'd also advise against St Johns / Cardozo. It appears you want to go NY area, but that's a tough market to break into / many t14 students get the jobs there...
