A 3.76/170 is above one median; a 3.7/170 (depending on what the GPA is to the hundredth) is below both medians. Even the 3.76/170 usually isn't in range for what NYU usually accepts (NYU really wants a high LSAT median), so a 3.7/170 is a really long shot.

Yeah you'd be better off ED'ing Chicago than CLS/NYU if you want to guarantee T6. The NYC schools strive to keep their LSAT numbers up and if you are going to be above one median and below the other its better to be high LSAT/low GPA than the other way around at those two. If you are absolutely set on NYC, ED NYU is your best bet, but its risky.
