171/4.05 LSDAS applying with ony one rec letter?

171, 4.05 from a top 30 public university. I want to send in my apps to GWU and Fordham before Thanksgiving with only one rec letter because I won't have the other until December 15. Am I foolish to do so? Should I wait until I get the other letter? First time poster, sorry if this is not the correct forum to be posting this type of question in.

Nope, as long as you comply with the requirements you should be fine. I think you stand a good chance at all of the schools you listed, even Columbia, as long as you apply before they stop processing apps for the break.

Definitely send in your app materials first before the last letter of rec comes in. They'll start looking at your app before it does (and earlier always = better), and honestly 1 letter of rec probably won't make or break their decision.
