I've seen a few people with similar numbers, but I'm wondering how having a biochemistry PhD to my name will affect my chances. I know it will help, but with my numbers how likely is a T14 or HYS in all of your experience? Would HYS applications be a waste of time and money? I did get a waiver from Columbia, Michigan, UCLA, Cornell, and several other T25 places.

Michigan, Cornell and Gulc are your best shots. I'd blanket the t14 CCN on down and see of anyone bites for the phd. I doubt HYS though.

The impact of a Ph.D. is somewhat unclear. Some people will tell you it's irrelevant, some will say that it depends whether you went to a name school/have published, some will tell you that you need a high LSAT to validate the degree. From my own experience - I had a phone interview with Harvard in the first round despite having a much lower GPA than anyone else who did - my feeling is that it is the second or third of those possibilities.

My advice would be to apply broadly. Definitely try any of the t14 that gives you a fee waiver. Also toss in Harvard for good measure because, hey, you never know.

I think its worth applying to all besides yale. Best of luck.
