Top Law Schools

I am just wondering if anyone on TLS has any knowledge of how splitter-friendly Cornell is? I haven't seen too many data points to go off of on LSN, how do you guys think someone with a GPA between 3.1 and 3.2 would fare with a 172 LSAT. Thanks.

It's worth the app, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Cornell doesn't like to go that low with GPA. If you can afford it, I would blanket the 12-22 range of schools and see what bites.

Unfortunately, Cornell is reverse splitter friendly (high GPA, low LSAT) instead of traditional splitter friendly. It's worth an app if you really want to go there though, IMO.

For the t14 also apply to UVA and Gulc. If you have work experience northwestern. You likely already know that.
Cornell usually has a 3.3 gpa floor, but it's an unpredictable cycle do who knows. I say apply anyway.

Probably not. There is a poster who was sub-3.0/170 who got UVA RD, but she was a bit of an anomaly.

ETA: FWIW, a 3.31/169 got into Cornell like a week ago.

Thanks that's good to know. I guess it doesn't do much to dispute the soft 3.3 floor though.

It doesn't. Which is terrible since I'm 3.27/169.

There are a few data points on TLS where non-URM splitters have gotten in with under a 3.3. Also a few waitlist ----->accepts. I'd say it's definitely worth an app.

This. At/above the 75th LSAT it seemed wait listed people had more luck than usual.
