Not important

Post by DC_Sportsfan21 » Thu Nov 03, 2011 4:08 pm

title says it all. Where should I look to apply? I know a bunch of people will say retake but that is not a viable option at this time, ideally i'll transfer but even that is up in the air.

Where do you want to live & work after law school ? I ask because your numbers are likely to limit your options to regional or local law schools.

So, if I understand your answer, anywhere. Consider George Mason for the Virginia/DC area.

3.73 from UCLA is great. Shame you can't retake. I would send one to George Mason.

Yeah you need to retake or don't go. Chances are you won't be able to transfer.

Can you clarify as to why retaking is out of the question?

What are your softs? They might overcome your GPA if you are a Marshall scholar.
GPA is not the problem.

+1

And "I don't want to study for it again" isn't an answer. Even if you need to take a year off, retaking is a hell of a lot easier than trying to do well enough at ANY law school to transfer.

Your only decent option with your stats is George Mason, and I don't think that is a very good option right now.

Retake.

Yeah, even if you go up 5 points, it will be worth it. At least you'll have a respectable shot at some T30s. If you think you can boost 5+ points by December, register for that administration and study your ass off for a month.
