suggested to join tier 3 and 4 and then transfer to t-20.

You should absolutely not settle for that score. I would recommend sitting out a year and retaking at least once, whenver you think you can hit 160+.

EDIT: I don't mean to be harsh. But I think it's wise to take the lsat as many times as possible unless you hit your target score.

Based on your prior posts, the score of 149 is from your second sitting for the LSAT & represents a substantial score improvement. If you are going to apply this cycle, avoid all Tier Four law schools & apply to Tier Two & Tier Three schools located where you want to live & work after law school. Your GPA is outstanding & this should be a down year for number of applicants & applications, so try for several Tier Two reaches.

Which region of the country are you targeting ? Your 3.96 GPA & significant work experience should lead to acceptances at almost all Tier Three law schools & many Tier Two. Indiana-Indianapolis & St. Louis University (health care speciality) may be two to consider.

P.S. Let law schools know that English is not your first language as you indicated in an earlier post.

This is my second official LSAT score.I should but I am not taking one more year to prepare again for LSAT.
Who are the 2nd tier schools.. excuse my ignorance ( I do know the ranking of top 100 and then 3rd and 4th tier)
Also,I am open to relocation provided I get accepted to a good school (per my status).

If you cannot break 160 then law school isn't for you. It seems like you are capable of a good score given your fantastic gpa but you absolutely need to improve by, at the minimum, 12+ points...at the very least you'll be looking at a free education somewhere

Even though you may think law is the career for you, your aptitude screams otherwise. There are plenty of other career options out there that pay a lot more than law.

I see that you've taken the LSAT twice. Is your effort worth a few applications? Why not..but don't attend if you can't make it into, at the very least, a low cost TT with strong regional placement. Both attributes are required, not just one.

I am re-taking LSAT on feb.yes,I will for the third and last time.
Planning to follow the pithypike study plan.
Any suggestions are welcomed.Esp for RCs and study plan.
I feeling sick thinking about reading the bibles again.But I have to do this.

Also,do I completely miss my chances to apply to T-25 for fall 2012?

Pay as much money as you possibly can for a private tutor. Seriously, spending $5k now on individual tutoring will save you a lot of money in the future.

Either that or get a job and try again at the LSAT in 3 years from now if you still want to be a lawyer then.

This. This is the fucking right answer.

Look, $5k isn't pocket change. But in terms of the difference it can make over your lifetime it is seriously absolutely nothing. Even if you don't improve at all, at least you tried your very best, gave it your all, and its not like $5k is going to ruin you (though graduating from a T2 or T3 with high debt may). The risk/reward ratio is enormous, especially with a GPA like yours. People with close to 4.0s and low 160s have gotten into UVA ED.

Your writing clearly demonstrates you have some issues comprehending English, which is impeding your ability to do well on RC or LR. The LSAT demands high proficiency in English, and if you are struggling writing posts on a forum, you are probably having a lot of trouble understanding RC passages. Study English until you understand it as well as your native language. I am not trying to be mean, but the LSAT is very particular with word choice, and your posts show you are a poor writer grammar wise. That may be why you scored so low.

This. This isn't an LSAT only problem, and thus I wouldn't seek an LSAT-centric solution. The people I knew coming into law school with English as a secondary language (even one that they were relatively strong in) had a massive disadvantage. Lawl school involves a lot of fairly detailed reading.

Thanks all for your suggestions and opinions.I have been working full time for past 3yrs and have a decent savings.
So,money is not a problem.English as my second language,yes a problem.
I read on TLS and thus,subscribed to Economists and with my awesome friends who are helping me with my comprehension.

I don't think subscribing to the economist alone will solve your problems. You should take classes on English-as in grammar, vocab, and sentence structure. The LSAT tests you knowledge of tiny differences in definitions. I think if you worked on your understanding of English it would do more good than an LSAT tutor.

I agree that your english needs to get a lot better before you go to law school. Start by reading a novel a week and swear off your native language completely. If you can't talk to your parents, so be it. Come back in 2 or 3 years and THEN pay for an LSAT tutor.

Truth.

The whole reason that people pay lawyers is that they are excellent at comprehending written documents and writing. If you don't have a superior grasp of written English you're not going to be all that useful as a lawyer. Based on these posts you really need to take a few years to work on language acquisition.
