I think you're in at all but Fordham. Why not Wisconsin?

Which is why he doesn't have as much a leg up at Fordham, which is why I said he was unlikely to get in there. But who knows.

I'm not sure Cuban gets a URM boost. I know AA, NA, and Mexican does. If you do get an URM boost though you would be undershooting applying that far down the rankings I think. I would definitely wait and see how you do on the Decemebr LSAT, because a couple points higher and you are in and will get scholarship at Miami probably too. You will also have a different selection of schools to apply to.

I think you'll get a WL and a very late decision from Fordham. At the end of the cycle, the school will want to start tacking on cool softs to their viewbook: "Our class includes a Big 10 football player...." You may have more luck applying to the part-time program if cost isn't an issue. Don't know much about the other schools.

Cubans don't get any URM boost I don't think. Unless you have the same exact stats as a standard white guy like me, then in that case you'll get the boost. I think being a Big 10 football player is a better soft. I hope you can get into UF because I think it'd be a good situation for you. Do you want to practice in Florida?

Yes I do, but would like to live in NYC for a few years. I think UF will be a good fit as well. Should I apply now or should I wait until after my December scores comes in? W

If you really want to live in New York then UF or any regional school would be a bad idea. If you think your score is going up I would wait because it may give you a whole new range of schools and fordam will become an easy admit. Most schools won't look at our application until your new score comes in so you won't get any advantage applying early. I'd study rock the lsat and after you take get all your stuff ready so as soon as you get your score you can apply.

Good advice from Sunny. Sadly I think you have to pick between UF and NYC now. With those numbers, the degree you get isn't going to be very portable. You'd have to increase your LSAT substantially and likely crack the T6 to be able to get a fully portable degree.

Yeah I understood you. If you go to NYC, you can probably get an NYC job. But after a couple years it's unlikely you'll be able to move back to Miami unless you have strong connections (which I don't doubt) because it's a tough market for outsiders to crack.

Same situation if you go to UF or UM--it'd be very tough to get a job in NYC. That's what I mean when I say your degree from either place will not be portable.

UW's offense is freaky good though. Are you sure the NFL isn't the right career path for you?
