I really don't think ED improves admittance chances unless you are at both medians. Do ED if GULC is your #1 choice, but just know that Admissions Committees offer early decision mostly to take ppl who are at or above their medians to make sure they don't go elsewhere.

What? Why would applicants at or above both medians apply Early Decision and forgo significant scholarship leverage?
