Should I create a "What are my chances" thread?

Many of you are not getting responses on your threads, or not many responses, and you wonder why. You want feedback and the wisdom of TLS poasters in re your cycle. But all that accumulated wisdom comes from http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com. So, in the interest of teaching a man to fish, I (along with crumpetsandtea and Magnolia) have created this helpful flowchart.

Also look at Mylsn.info because it aggregates the results from lawschoolnumbers.com.

Good luck, all.

The very first question on that flowchart should be "Do you have an LSAT score?"

Maybe you should add a definition to the OP for "super splitter," "URM," and "softs," because I know when I came to this site, I had no idea what they were.

Obviously I understand what it means. Something like maybe under a 3.0 and above a 170. I guess I was just wondering what YOU classified it as, since you made this whole flow chart. I was just honestly wondering that the OP meant when he used super splitter, I'm sorry I haven't made enough posts to know what the exact official criteria are. Sincere apology for wasting your time that it would of take to just answer it

I'm being generous. The first box honestly should be "Check lawschoolnumbers.com."

You can shorten the flow chart to:

Go to LS numbers
Are you unsatisfied with your chances?
Are you a URM, super splitter, or have a super soft?
If no, sucks man
If yes, start a thread

I think the first box should be "You are not a special snowflake."

I'd say a super splitter is someone who's below the 25th percentile in GPA but above the 75th percentile in LSAT at the place he/she wants to be chanced.

How about reverse splitters?

I guess moderate splitters could ask for advice too.

haha, this is great! To address earlier questions about "super splitter" I would assume that means people with GPAs well below the 25th and LSAT scores well above the 75th. @Curious1, what you listed is just the regular definition of a splitter. @thelawlyer, the answer to 95% of all reverse-splitter threads is retake.

ETA: Not to toot my own horn, but most splitter threads can be answered by the chart I made here (will update soon for new numbers): http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 2&t=162680

Somewhere in there should also be "put your LSAT / GPA in the thread title."

Make it easy on the people who might be willing to help you. For instance, I always click on threads with people who have similar numbers to me as I feel I can probably be of more assistance to them.
