Keep my chances or retake?

So here's the deal. I'm a junior and by the time I apply my gpa will be 3.88 and LSAT 169 (took this past october test).
I want to stay in the south so my plan is to ED to Virginia, Regular decision to Vandy and if I don't get into virginia, ED to duke. My LSAT is one point from being a sure shot at these schools, so I'm wondering if it's worth a retake. Keep in mind I'll be applying NEXT fall, so their median numbers may be higher by then. Also If i don't get into any of those I'll probably go to Alabama, Emory, or W&M. Are my chances at my three top choices good enough next year, or should I retake? Thanks.

Since you're applying next cycle I would say retake. These schools don't care about multiple LSATs so you have nothing to lose. What were you PTing?

Retake. It isn't as if you have to give up your current prize to see what's behind door number two.

I was PTing above 170. Average of 171-172. And that was after studying all summer. So if I did retake it wouldn't be more than maybe a 3 point increase. I'm really leaning towards retaking now, but can anyone say something about my chances with my current numbers?

Edit: Forgot to ask, if i do retake, when should that happen?

You would get into UVA with an ED app based on the current numbers (yours and UVAs.)
