UVA ED in January

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering, if I wait until January to ED to UVA (basically, after my first ED tells me to die in a fire/waitlist), how badly are my chances affected?

177/3.2 (retake of a 167 from Oct)

I've read they pick up their splitters early on, but I'm hoping maybe because I have a 177 instead of a 171 or whatever I have a little extra leeway?

I am basically just trying to decide if I should gamble my ED on a higher ranked school or not, and whether or not I can use UVA as a backup plan has a lot to do with that.

I'm also wondering about this. I'd hate to waste my ED on NYU and then not get into MVPCCN at all...

anyone have knowledge about how ED splitters fare at UVA in January compared to now?

I think I saw a few apps on LSN who fared worse for UVA because of their late apps.
