172 LSAT, 2.91 GPA, graduated in 2009

I know I'm a fairly extreme split, but I don't know how much of an impact being out of school for a couple of years will have. Any ideas?

Reach schools: UVA, Georgetown
Middle schools: GW, William and Mary
Safer schools: Washington & Lee, George Mason, American

IDK if you are open to non-east coast/DC-based schools, but you should add NU to your 'reach' list. They have a huge preference for people with WE and are the only T14 school to consistently dip below the 3.0 barrier if the candidate has an LSAT above their median (which you do). GULC and UVa are much stricter about their 3.0 GPA floors.

Also, consider adding WUSTL, IUB, UIUC, UMN, and other midwest schools to your list, as they're all splitter friendly as well. You'll probably be in at those schools with at least a little money from all of them.

I personally wouldn't attend GMU or American without significant money (and no stipulations). GWU is pretty splitter-friendly.
