If you don't get in, it won't be because of your numbers.

Can you elaborate? Why do you think that?

Out of curiosity, have you visited Penn? I wasn't super happy about the facilities when I visited two years ago. It's a great school and by no means a dump, but it looks way different than the pics.

Ive been to penn a few times as many of my good friends go there. Didn't visit the law school specifically but undergrad places seemed fine. With my numbers I don't have many options if im trying to stay above umich, so gotta bear bad facilities if that's the case.

Any response on the above?

Yeah, the LS is completely different than the undergrads. It struck me as much smaller, and older, than I expected.

Any thoughts on eding to chicago? To be honest I'd rather go to penn than Chicago and don't think the difference in rank is that great or significant. Just curious.

Where do you want to work? Both are great schools but each dominates their respective markets a little better than the other.

Chicago has much higher requirements to my knowledge.. Your numbers could probably get you into Penn non-ED as far as I know, but I could be wrong about that.

when you say requirements are you talking about lsat/gpa? if you are, penn and chicago are neck and neck with chicago a hair higher. i'd want to work in NYC most likely in big law.

but regardless of that, do you think my chances are better at penn or chicago ed?

I wouldn't ED unless you are dead-set on ONE school. You are giving up a lot...mainly the chance to get or negotiate scholarships.

i mean at this point, given my numbers, it's not really about being dead set on a specific law school or the money but rather maximizing my chances of getting into law schools that's ranked higher than michigan. realistically then, my only two options really are chicago and penn with an ED. I just can't determine where I have a better shot at.
