3.3/169 retake in December

Grizz, don't you dare link me to LSN....
LSAC cumulative 3.3, but with *one* shit year (caretaker to dying mom, who passed away right after) and otherwise a ~A- average (3.75 from a UC). So, not the typical "strong upward trend," though I know it will make very little difference.
Should have 4 very solid LORs, and planning a retake in December (had a rough week before the October LSAT, moved the day before, PT average was 172 going in...I figure if I pick up even a couple of points it could potentially help a lot).
Was planning to try and get apps out pre-thanksgiving, but with an addendum saying I'll retake in December- will schools hold my application until then on the off-chance I do well enough, or should I wait to apply to my mega-reaches?
My list, so far (suggestions are more than welcome!):
mega super reaches:
Michigan (fee waiver)
Boalt (could being intro'd to the Dean help, by chance?)
Cornell
GULC
UCLA
USC?
Vandy?
WUSTL
GW
Decent shot with these numbers (yes or no?):
UC Davis
Minn
Boston U
Wisconsin (some family/alum ties)
Hastings (an alum tie here as well)
Thoughts? Anything I should add/take off? I'm also thinking about part time... what are the pros/cons?

This might not be super encouraging, but a couple of cycles ago I recall a tlser with a 3.4/170 who was admitted to Boalt. A solid retake/application package might be enough to get you in.
Also: in from WUSTL down, bearing in mind that you might get a UCD ding due to low gpa. In at one of GNCD (more likely G/N) with a 170+ retake. Doubtful at UCLA/USC due to low gpa but worth an app fee, especially with improved LSAT score.

Because I like you:
Michigan: No
Boalt: No
Cornell: Probably not, but definitely worth the app
GULC: No
UCLA: Probably not, but definitely worth the app
USC: Probably not, but definitely worth the app
Vandy: Probably not, but be sure to visit (hint) and do why Vandy and interview
WUSTL: In
GW: In
UC Davis: Probably in, not autoadmit though
Minn: In
Boston U: Probably in, not autoadmit though
Wisconsin: In
Hastings: Probably in, not autoadmit though
Also apply to BC. Probably out, but worth the app

Yes.
I'd say you have a good shot at every school above except Boalt, Cornell, GULC, UCLA, and USC, which I believe has a 3.4 floor. Your 169 is above median at Cornell, UCLA, Boalt, and USC, so you should at least apply. Your GPA is way low for Boalt, but Boalt is infamous for not giving half of a shit about scores as other schools. Put a lot of thought into your addendum. GULC is out for you, I think, unless you get your LSAT way up, or apply PT, and even then it's a close call.
You should also weigh the pros/cons of taking the test in December. Are you willing to potentially postpone your application in the hope of increasing your score? Will this increase be worth the late application & dwindling spots?

Vandy is a reach due to new 169 median and waaay below GPA median.

Schools will generally wait to make a decision if they see you have a retake pending.

I talked to someone else with a 3.3/172 I think who got Boalt... I will for sure be apping, but I'm not gonna do it with any expectations.
Will any of the schools on my list NOT hold my application for dec retake rather than reject me outright?

See how your retake pans out first.

I wonder if BU sends out fee waivers...or has hidden ones...

Similar numbers here. Received a fee waiver unsolicited from BU. I thought they based sending those out solely on your numbers?
