Georgetown Part-Time

Post by jrthor10 » Tue Oct 25, 2011 9:01 am

Can anyone speak to the current admissions standards for pt at Gtown (I am referring to this cycle or last).

Lawschoolpredictor seems to indicate that with my current stats 164 lsat and 3.5 gpa I would have a shot. However, I am also considering retaking in Dec, and I know that admissions standards for the pt program have gotten tougher as the rankings now include those stats. I am not convinced that law school predictor includes that change in any meaningful way in the calculations. Does anyone know for sure?

I am just trying to get an idea if I would be in a better position now, or waiting until January with, hypothetically, a lsat score of 1-3 points higher. Thoughts?

Look at lawschoolnumbers.com.

And more importantly, do not double post.

I'm in a similiar situation (165/3.71) which puts me just a hair over the median for the part-time program. Unfortunately Law School Numbers doesn't differentiate between part-time and full-time from what I can tell so it was not as helpful as I had hoped. I'm wondering the same thing and am debating whether to apply now or wait and shoot for a higher score in December, recognizing that apllying later in the cycle reduces my chances at the same time.

I'd be interested in what you decide. If you get any info as it relates to our predicament, please let me know.
