Top Law Schools

Hi there,

I'm interested in NYC BigLaw. Also interested in boutique litigation. Where should I ED to give me the best shot at NYC boutique lit/BigLaw?

My stats:

167, followed by a cancel
3.58
top 5 school
3 years WE, nontraditional softs

On a related note, am I competitive for the GW or BU ED full ride schollies? Any shot at NYC BigLaw or boutique lit from either?

Even with ED, virtually no shot at the T14 given that you're below both medians at every school.

Probably not competitive for the GW ED full ride; not sure about BC. Boutique litigation firms in major markets are incredibly difficult to land outside of the T6.

Sign up for a retake brah. Can't get a school that will give you a good shot at NYC biglawl with those numbers.

He couldn't get into Northwestern with the 3 years of work experience????

EDIT: Of course, I'm assuming Northwestern feeds into NYC. I know Michigan feeds NYC... does NW?

Northwestern and UVA are kind of go-tos on this board, but Northwestern has a strong reputation for splitters, not necessarily below median types.

The only place you can be confident of getting into would be BU. You would not get a full scholarship. Going to top a UG school means dick. The 3.5 is holding you back. Given that you can't do anything about that now, retake. Or go to a T25.

NW is a fine option for biglaw, problem is OP is below both medians for every T14. He needs to retake.

I had very similar numbers, with very similar goals. If you don't retake you can probably get $ at BU or Fordham which would be your best options. They don't make NYC biglaw a sure thing, but the odds aren't the worst.
