You are a URM- AA female. Gives you a big boost! But it's unpredictable, so we can't tell you exactly where you'd get in. But you do have a good shot at T10 and maybe even T6!jjjd2012 wrote: Can you guys tell me your reasoning because my numbers aren't nearly as close to what you need for T5, let alone T10 schools.
You have a great shot at HYS. If you get in to one of those I would definitely go. If you end up being shut out of HYS, I would be careful about going to the rest of the top 14 unless you receive at least a 70 percent ride. I would heavily consider going to a top 25 that is strong in the part of the country you wish to practice, with a full ride, over a non HYS top 14 for less than 70 percent free. Good luck!jjjd2012 wrote:Thanks for your responses.

Double-URMs are treated considerably better than regular URMs. The reasons for this go without saying.Tiago Splitter wrote:165/3.52 AA/PR female got into Harvard last cycle.

The bolded sentence makes no sense. How can you be the "whitest person on the planet" but also be an African American female? Are you hungover or something?LawSchoolChampion wrote:jjjd2012 wrote:Thanks for your responses.

Law Schools like racial diversity...well, the ability to say that they have racial diversity.
You could be the whitest person on the planet, but as an AA (Female) your numbers will allow you acceptances into schools that you would normally have no chance in hell of getting in to.
That's all we can really say - URM's get a huge boost in that sense (but it is unpredictable).
You may not break T6 (though I'd say one will bite, so blanket them), but I'd be shocked if you didn't break top 10.
If you were white/asain, you would have trouble breaking the top-20.
**Please note this isn't meant to start an race war, the quoted posted asked why she could out perform her numbers**
I was thinking the same thing. I think he means white on the inside? lolBruceWayne wrote:The bolded sentence makes no sense. White on the inside was what I was referring to. I was trying to explain to the OP that she doesn't need a financial hardship or a cultural background (i.e. growing up in a spanish speaking household, or a single parent home) in order to qualify for the URM boost - simply being able to legally identify with the race is enough.law4vus wrote:I was thinking the same thing. He means that OP could come from a very wealthy family, have gone to very selective/high-end schools, and receive largely the same treatment as a socio-economically disadvantaged URM, and absolutely better treatment than a non-URM with a much "harder" background.law4vus wrote:I was thinking the same thing.
