165/"superior"

Softs:
Foreign undergrad, LSAC graded it as "superior"
PhD in hard sciences
lots of voluntary and leadership work
several scholarships and a grant
trilingual
overcame financial and cultural hardship
what are my chances in T20 schools, especially
Boalt
UCLA
USC

I thought I'd answer because no one else has said anything yet. I don't know anything about foreign GPAs, but you should apply to some schools lower than the specific ones you mentioned.. you need some safeties because a 165 isn't too great. Good luck.

I actually got a 165 and I was fine with it, but if someone wants a T20, it isn't a great score for that.

I actually got a 165 and I was fine with it, but if someone wants a T20, it isn't a great score for that.
I get it. Everyone just has a different definition of a "good score." But if OP significantly underperformed on test day or thinks he/she is capable of doing better, then a retake should be on the table.

well, 165 is enough for most top schools, even t-20s, and in cases such as for the above poster, was enough for hastings, which is considered almost as good as Boalt

Anyway, OP, your hard science PhD will be very attractive to Boalt. Make sure you submit a compelling personal statement and get your application in ASAP (before October 15 if possible).
