Top Law Schools

Hi everyone!

I am applying to quite a few schools but my heart is set on Fordham. My UGPA is 3.49 and Graduate GPA is 3.7. My LSAT scores are as follows:

Feb 2011 - 154
June 2011 - 161
October 2011 - hoping for around 165-168 (have been averaging 165 on practice tests)

I have 2 years of experience with a big 4 accounting firm, great LORs, my PS is coming together nicely, and I wrote a why Fordham statement. So what do you guys think my chances of getting in are? Is there anything else you think I can do to improve those chances? Their stats for the 2011 entering class are as follows (25th%-75th% respectively):

GPA: 3.36 - 3.76
LSAt: 163 - 168

I think its a pretty long shot, because you are likely below their median GPA.

I'd focus on getting that LSAT up. The higher you get it, the better your chances.

Go to lawschoolpredictor.com and plug in a few different LSAT scores to get a feel for your chances. It's by no means a perfect indicator, but its been known to be mildly accurate at least.

Being towards the lower end of the middle 50% GPA-wise (which you can't change at this point), getting your LSAT close to or above the 75% would be beneficial.

Im gunna say you are definitely out with those numbers. Get up to a 166 and youve got an outside shot. Maybe even a 165.

Really trying to work on getting the LSAT score up! Thinking to maybe go for their part-time program at first if not accepted into full-time,the numbers are lower there.

This is a good option if you are really dead set on Fordham.

If you have an accounting job, just do that. Fordham is super stingy with cash. Legal market sucks. Etc., etc.
