Chances at Northwestern

Hey I know that Northwestern is big on WE and since it would be nice to stay in Chicago I was wondering if it would be worth paying the $100 to apply. I'm working now as a legal assistant (not sure if that will count as WE for Northwestern) and have worked previously as a undergrad TA, language tutor, and core curriculum tutor (still don't know if that counts as WE). LSAT/GPA: 169/3.68. Just below medians on both. Any responses appreciated.

yeah you don't have a great shot, but i still think it is always worth it to apply if you want to go to that school.

Ask for a fee waiver. I got one without soliciting it from them and my LSAT was 4 points lower than yours

I certainly will but am not counting on it. Does anyone think my WE would count for anything anywhere?

no other school emphasizes WE more than northwestern so it doesn't really matter especially since your WE is subpar to mediocre.

Your WE is probably fine, if you're full-time and self-supporting. Not everyone (i.e. hardly anyone) at NU has ten years of corporate VP experience.
Your numbers are pretty iffy, but I'd say it's worth a shot if you'd really like to go there.

Somebody has to be below median...

It's a reach school in the market where you want to practice. Of course you should apply.
BTW, I got in off of the wait list, so that's a possibility too.

Really? Why is my 3.46/175+ ass sitting on the wait list?
Edit: I applied in late November.
A very different scenario than OP imo.
