168/3.07

I'd like to try this again with different schools now that I'm considering leaving Fl for law school.
168/3.07, 7 years of WE (by next year) in law enforcement, master's degree
NU
WUSTL
GW
UF
Or any other suggestions? If I leave Fl, it would have to be for a big city, for my husband's career.
Are the schools (besides UF) worth paying sticker for if I don't want to go into BigLaw?
Thanks!

Is retaking an option? A point or two could make NU a decent possibility and mean $$$ at WUSTL

I don't know. I've taken it twice-was happy with a 168 for UF, but now that I'm looking other places, I know a 170 would really help. I'm still considering...

if you know you want to be in FL, I'd just go in UF as schools that place better down there won't accept you with the GPA

If you want a T14 at sticker your best bets (though still unlikely) are Cornell and UMich (ED to the latter). If you don't want biglaw then most schools aren't worth sticker (especially WUSTL/GW and below) and I would stick with a Florida state school because of in-state tuition.

What if I want to move out of state right after law school, is UF still my best bet?

No. Where do you want to work?

I'd prefer to stay in Fl, but my husband's career is suffering because he really needs to be in a large financial city. It's too difficult to predict right now, but if we left Fl, our compromise would most likely be DC.
Edit: I should add the possiblity of Boston or NY. Though I'd prefer not to move back so far north

As a splitter you're probably going to have to pay for greater regional marketability. It doesn't make sense to go to UF and then move out of state because UF doesn't have a great reputation out of state so it will hamper your ability to get jobs in other regions.
Even though you've already take it twice, you really should retake for a 170+ since that will open up schools like GULC/NU where sticker is a semi-reasonable decision (especially compared to sticker at a place like GW/Fordham). The reason I say you're going to have to pay for greater regional marketability is because as a splitter you're unlikely to get much if any scholarship money. If you and your husband have some savings that could be used to lower your eventual law school debt, I would advise doing that so that you don't have an insane debt burden coming out.

What if I go to UF, work in Fl for a couple of years, then move out of state- does the WE outweigh the degree at that point, or am I bound to living in Fl forever?
Also, is GULC's PT program more reachable with my current numbers?

The work experience will be the predominant factor at that point.
Not really. GULC has made their PT program almost as hard as their FT program since USNWR started including PT people in the medians.

So my best options are 1. go to UF with in-state tuition, get a job in Fl, one day move out of state. 2. retake, get 170+, apply to NU and GULC
(thanks for previous advice on Cornell and Michigan, but the locations aren't great for us).
Are these schools 100% not worth applying to with my current numbers?

Check
http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com but, iirc, you should get GW and I'd at least throw an app to GULC PT.

I was 168/3.1 with 3+ years WE, so I should be a pretty good proxy. Keep in mind I applied late.

Also, I know "retake" is a knee-jerk reaction around here, and it's one I couldn't do because some other things going on in my life, but if those constraints weren't in place I think I would have retaken. I didn't study nearly as much as I should or could have and to compound matters came in on the lower side of my "range." If that sounds like you, I'd encourage retaking. As absurd as it may be to draw the sorts of distinctions law schools do based on a few points, it's just the way it goes, so it's important to maximize your chances. And remember, LSAT points aren't just about admissions, they're about money too.

Thanks FlanSolo. I did panic a bit during the RC section because I spent too much time on one reading, then rushed through the rest of the section. I suppose I could have done better on that section, but since I took the Feb test I can't see my answers. Any you're right, retaking and getting that 170 may get me some $$...
