AA Male 3.71 GPA, 163 LSAT

I am a rising senior at a top 50 liberal arts college with a 3.7ish GPA and a 163 LSAT. I am interested in staying in the midwest to practice law in Chicago, but am open to just about anywhere. Where would I be accepted, waitlisted, denied, or given $$?
Univ. of Illinois (resident)
Univ. of Wisconsin
Univ. of Michigan
These are the only three I've thought about; if there are any matches or possible reaches for me in or out of the midwest, i'd love the input

Aim higher. If you really want to practice in Chicago, then apply to UChicago (I think you have a shot) on up.

How much higher should I aim? Like T14? Georgetown has always been a dream as well as Michigan and Northwestern, but the only WE I have is a coupole of internships

Do yourself a favor and apply to the Top 25 schools (1-25). Visit your Top 5 choices if possible.
I wouldn't be surprised if most of the schools in T1 and T2 offered you fee waivers to apply.
Remember, only 100-115 AA URMs score higher than 165+ each year.

Thanks, I'll def. Look more into the T25 and weigh my options... I'm ultimately interested in getting some type of scholarship money, hence the addition of UW

Don't be silly. Yes, apply to UMich, UChi and Northwestern. You should only be looking at the T14. HYS are reaches, but you'll likely fall somewhere between 4-12.

You should apply to all the T14 + any local schools you really like. You will likely get money at the lower T14, CCN and maybe HYS should be in play.
You might want to look at AA males with similar GPAs and compare how much money they received at T14 schools based on their LSATs. If it looks like a few more points will yield alot of extra money, or significantly increase your chances a HYS think about retaking.

It sounds like you could get into Northwestern and possibly get some money there. That would give a you a pretty decent shot at practicing in Chi-Town.

I really like northwestern, but don't they put a huge emphasis on WE? I've done internships and I work during the school year, but idk if that falls into the WE category.. :/
