The general response here will be to retake the LSAT and not waste such am awesome GPA on a 164. Also, splitter generally refers to high LSAT, low GPA. You would be a reverse splitter.

I would retake the LSAT and if you don't do better, I would see which of the lower T14 are most forgiving to low LSAT scores (check http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com). I'm thinking your best bet would be one of MVP, maybe Michigan?

-Good softs
-Sociology major at Ivy

I am thinking Duke, Georgetown, or UCLA. Do you guys know if any of these schools are particularly kind to splitters?
ED to UVA, no question. UCLA is supposed to be a bit of a GPA-whore, but UVA historically takes kids who ED with 3.9+ GPAs/16x LSATs. Apply on the first day of the cycle.

You would be in at UCLA I'd imagine. They like high GPAs. I think you might get into UCLA RD to be honest. I might try for a T14 ED like UVa and hope to get into UCLA RD.

UVA ED is damn near a lock if you do it early.

As far as schools you actually want to go to (ahem) I think you have a good chance at Duke with ED

Of the three you mentioned, I think UCLA ED is your most likely. In the T14, UVA ED is your best bet. I think Duke is a decent shot. I'd be very surprised if you got in GULC ED, simply because they are LSAT whores, and you are 4 points below their 25th percentile LSAT.

Seriously? I'm not applying to Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc. b/c I figured it was a waste of time.

Everyone seems to suggest that I should ED to UVA, but I think I am going to go with Duke ED - and Cornell EA - b/c Duke Law is smaller, more liberal, and less fratty than UVA. Also, I'd rather not be at a school where 60% of the law students are from VA (no offense to the great state of VA!). The preference for in-state students is offputting, even though I understand the reasoning. Plus, I think Duke is more friendly to reverse-splitters. Thanks everyone for your input, particularly paulinaporizkova and Real Madrid, who both gave me some hope for Duke. :D

Oh wow, didn't mean to offend. AHHH I am freaking out, maybe I should ED to UVA. Ok whatever, I will just let this marinate.

It's all good. Just kidding. Come to UVa. Virginia kids know how to party.
