Just want to see where people think I can get in with money.
- I'd love to go to Columbia or NYU, but I seriously doubt any money from them.
- Wish to practice in the South (Atlanta), but I'm not dead-set.
- Non-URM
- Okay softs
Thanks in advance.

You have a shot at CN (and outside chance at HS, off a waitlist), you won't get a dime though. For Atlanta, you're best bets would probably be $ at Virginia, $$ at Duke, $$$ at Vandy or full ride to Emory/UGA.
I'd probably go with Duke (assuming HS don't come through)

I think Duke with pretty big money is going to be your best bet. Places well in the south and can take you other places if you change your mind. I'd predict around $70k in scholarships, with a well-tailored application and a Why Duke?

I got UVA with $$$ with only a slightly higher GPA. Make sure you do the essays for NYU if you get in and want to have any shot any money. Good luck!

Which means your GPA was probably at/over their median (3.85) while his is under. This will likely make a huge difference in your outcomes at UVA.

yeah just sharing my experience. I mean it's hard to get into UVA OSS anyway. Personally, I didn't get into Duke.

With my GPA under their median, do you think I could get UVa at all?

if you want atlanta:
UVA WL/In: no money unless you're from Va.
Duke $60,000
Emory $75,000
Vandy $75,000
UGA Possibly full tuition. At least in-state tuition plus half scholarship

Looks pretty rough:
http://uva.lawschoolnumbers.com/applica ... ,8&type=jd (Keep in mind that two of the Pending applicants were accepted elsewhere ED and withdrew, so it's tough to say how they'd have fared.)
I mean, you should certainly apply and write a good Why UVA, but they're so hit or miss, that with their whole median and yield protection things, I wouldn't bank on getting in.

I greatly appreciate your insight. Now, without considering money, would an ED to Columbia or NYU help me out? Or would that be a detriment to my wanting to live in the South?

You have a good shot at NYU with an ED, and some chance at Columbia. But, at that point, you have to consider whether that is a better option for the South than around $70k at Duke. I would say that it is definitly a contest with Columbia, but if you were talking about NYU, you should take the money at Duke.

OP will get NYU without ED. Only two of these applicants applied ED, and everyone with OP's #s was admitted this year:
