You are above the GPA median, so you have a chance. If you can put together a compelling application you could get in. I did the same thing last cycle with the same LSAT and slightly lower GPA than you.

If you retake and break into the 170s it can only help your chances. Retaking may even net you some money, since Michigan awards merit and need based aid to ED apps.

Start working on your personal statement, why michigan essay, and get all of your LORs in as soon as you can, plan to take the LSAT again in the fall.

You have a chance now. But not a sure bet. Probably not even a really great chance. Retake if you can do better, you dont want to be left out in the cold. Plus you could get money.

What was your excuse again? laziness. Not really good enough. I mean, you can be lazy on your senior year school-work. Dont even go to class if you dont want as long as you dont fail. But work your butt off on that lsat.
