Hi numbers twin! Here's how I did at the schools you're looking at:

Vanderbilt didn't apply, almost no shot
WUSTL out
GW I got in PT, you'd prob get WLed FT
Fordham In PT off the WL
Notre Dame Didn't apply, 50/50 shot I'd say
BU didn't apply, I'd guess WL/out
BC out, but maybe WL/out for you
Emory didn't apply but you're probably in with $
W&L In with $ (though they gave less to splitters this year than they have in the past)
W&M Waitlist - with a shot at getting off it
American didn't apply but you're probably in

If you're interested in the Southeast, consider UGA, Bama, Wake Forest, UNC. A lot of splitter schools (WUSTL and UIUC) seemed to raise their minimum splitter LSAT to 168 this year. Minnesota is a good Midwest option if you're interested in that area. Boston schools love GPA, they will be a hard nut to crack.

Best case scenario is retake for a 171+ and you'll be in at NU...

Without that, the best schools you'll have a shot at are in the midwest (IU-B, Iowa, Minn, Wisc) and South (Wake, UGA, Bama, SMU)

If you want NE/Mid-Atlantic, you have a shot at the PT programs at Fordham and GW...Fordham lets you transfer to full time after a year if you do OK. Don't know about GW.

For Cali/West...youre out at UCLA/USC and waitlist/out at Davis and Hastings...Arizona, Loyola, San Diego and schools in that range are your best bets

But I'll go ahead and pile on more bad news:

Some of these schools are going to be a challenge even if you retake and get in the low 170s. BU & BC will rarely take people with 3.1s, ditto W&M. If you get in the mid to high 170s, it may be a different story, but at that point, you'd probably want to consider EDing to a t14.

However, Raising your score to the 169-171 range should give you a solid lock (maybe even w/ $) at WUSTL, ND and GW. Not sure about Fordham or how Vandy treats splitters.

I'd still say, if you're interested in the Midwest, consider Minnesota. 167 got you $20k/year this year for most applicants.

Numbers twin! I've been told a lot more optimistic news off record, but what was your major? Anything else interesting about you? Exceptional strengths outside of numbers will help you.

Yeah, that's not very special...to be blunt. Sorry.

Your work experience should help. Are you fluent in any Chinese dialect ? If so, then that would be an interesting soft factor.

Are you willing to share which undergraduate school you attended ? It's interesting to know which colleges & universities are tough graders.

I also have the same numbers as you... no work experience, so you might have better chances than me. But here's how my cycle went:

Vanderbilt: didn't apply bc i had no chance.
WUSTL: rejected
GW: WL, accepted
Fordham: didn't apply... i'd guess a WL then accept if they know you'd attend if accepted.
Notre Dame: didn't apply because I got no fee waiver.
BU: waitlisted, withdrew.
BC: rejected. I think they are pretty picky about gpa.
Emory: in with $36k
W&L: in with $15k
W&M: waitlist, withdrew.
American: accepted, withdrew before scholarship info.

I'd say to apply in sept or oct. You'll definitely get a few of your schools.

lawschoolnumbers.com indicates (without considering your work experience, maturity & linguistic skills):

American, Emory & College of Wm. & Mary should admit you based on your numbers alone.

BU is likely to waitlist you. BC may reject based on low GPA.

Another poster had exact same numbers & was waitlisted, then accepted to Fordham's part-time program.

WashUStL has a wall at 168---so it doesn't look promising based solely on your LSAT score.

Vanderbilt is tough. Based solely on numbers, Vandy is unlikely, but I've heard that they sometimes actually read the apps---so there is hope.

Notre Dame looks promising since they do read the apps & yours should interest them.

Your list of law schools shows a Southern preference, so I'll guess Davidson.
