How much of a boost does an early application provide in terms of additional scholly money? My numbers are 165/3.77 and I'm wondering if I can expect any extra money from BU/BC or even a reach admit at Vandy/GWU because I turned my app in in September/October

Earlier is always better as many schools have rolling admissions and can be out of scholarship money for people who apply near the deadline. However, early generally means before Thanksgiving. September is really early.
And if you're on the cusp, they might just hold your application.

Uh, an acceptance isn't exactly a sure thing from either BU or BC. I'd worry about that first before worrying about scholarship possibilities.

Getting your GPA to 3.8+ would help for Vandy. I think this year they aimed for 169/3.8 medians.
The earlier you apply the better but if your numbers are borderline for a certain school it might not help.

GPA bump won't work unfortunately; been out of UG and working for the last 3 years

If you want GW or Vandy, retake. You are probably 50/50 at BU and in at BC with no money.

Thanks for the advice. I kind of knew a retake was going to be the beat course if action.
