3.57, 166

Hi. Given my gpa and lsat score, what are my chances for the following schools:
UC Davis
UC Irvine
Hastings
Fordham
Unfortunately, I took the LSAT three times :T 1. cancelled 2. 160 3. 166. Although Davis averages scores, they will consider the highest score if the gap between scores is more than 5. So it might be a non-issue, but I don't know. I would say my softs are average to above-average. Most notably I have interned at a couple law firms; I assume this will neither help nor hurt me. I've reviewed law school predictor, but I'm just worried about my multiple tests. Thank you.

None of these schools will average. Forget about the California and New York thing. Apply to BC/BU. They have decent access to NYC anyway and their home market is a real solid one. Both might be slight reaches though with those stats?

Well fuck me. I didn't even read through the whole original post. I'm fairly certain none of these schools would average your scores when evaluating your application.

from UC Davis website:
"The Admission Committee has access to and will consider all scores submitted. In most cases when there is little or no difference between scores, the average may be the best indicator. In exceptional cases where it is apparent that a significant difference exists between scores, the Admission Committee will consider carefully the explanation provided by the applicant. A change of five points or more is considered significant. Applicants should provide an explanation of any significant change in LSAT score. If warranted, the highest score will be used to reach a decision on the file. This is in keeping with past practice of the UC Davis Admission Committee. The highest score will be the recorded score in all reports and publications."
So UC Davis is complying with the highest score rule for reporting, but unless you have a difference of five points or more and can satisfactorily explain why the lower score should be ignored, they will use the average.
By contrast, Hastings will take your highest score. WTF is UC Irvine?
