Major Splitter- Where to apply? 177/2.22

Well, I have a 177 LSAT and 2.22 ugpa. I think I may be outside the range of accuracy for lawschoolpredictor. Any advice as to how I may narrow down my list of places to apply? Any other advice for someone in my situation would be greatly appreciated.

I know you didn't ask this, but that GPA/LSAT combo makes me really wonder, How did you do that? Are you just completely bored at the undergrad program?

I hope I get a 170+ on my LSAT!

Do you have full-time post-college work experience?

I actually felt very much engaged by most of my undergraduate program. Unfortunately there were some (legitimate) personal issues that took some time to work through.

Good Luck on the LSAT!

Not yet, but I don't plan to apply until Fall 2012.

Wow, well if compelling enough perhaps your PS will be able to partially negate that GPA?

I have nothing relevant to say. I just want to express my awe at your incredible split-dom. I would not trust a thing law school predictor spits out.

Write a really compelling honest Addendum and maybe even a related-topic PS to distance yourself from that gpa. Then ED to NW. also try Wustl and other midwestern t30 s as they like splitters. You wont have much luck with west coast schools or the northeastern schools. In with money at wustl, indiana, maybe bama, out most everywhere else. NW and wustl are your best hopes, but more WE would help at NW.

ED Northwestern.
This.

Outside of that really spread out your applications to t20-80 schools that give money to splitters. WUSTL, SMU, IU-B, Minn, UGA (sticker is relatively cheap, I think they take splitters), Iowa, Tulane.

But work another year or two first. It'll distance yourself further from the GPA and increase your T14 chances.

Apply & hope that law school adcomms think that the GPA is a misprint.

I guess I could ask LSAC to send a smudgy copy of my transcript.

Indiana-Bloomington & WashUStL might offer substantial scholarship money if your GPA addendum is convincing.

Can you overcome your low GPA with an explanation seems to be the main issue.

If not, then forget the top 17 or so law schools unless you have a few years of work experience after college.

My best prediction is that you're going to have to spend a lot on applications to find out the answer.
