Is it possible to get in one of them if I blanket them all?

Not a great chance but yeah you definitely have a shot.

Gpa is low because of my moms sickness and that we almost got evicted. So I had to go back and forth from school to take care of her and pay bills....

Gtown is My fav though

Your gpa is low, but URM cycles (aa males in particular) are unpredictable. With that being said, I would blanket the t14, and also apply to strong regional schools in areas you would like to practice.

Helpfully they also detail how their cycle went. I wonder if the strong upward GPA trend might have helped them. Do you have anything similar?

I have an upward grade trend but nothing like that kid

If you can write well and you apply to all of them, I would say 100%.

No way you aren't getting in a few, actually. Just write a non-excuse and honest grade addendum. Make sure there is something in there about how you won't repeat that performance.

Show your PS to everyone. I thought I was a decent writer and during the PS process I found out I was not. It was humbling, but it really helped.

No chance in hell you get shut out of the T14 with that LSAT score.

I'd say you have a shot, but you may want to consider an ED to your favorite with that GPA...

UVA and NU are easily your best bets. Frankly, unless you've got a very, very compelling story and impressive resume, don't bother with T6.

What about Vandy? I think they have continued to place well ITE and might offer decent money.

Law School Numbers suggests they have both taken and rejected candidates with that sort of GPA. Apply early and you'll need to take an interview. Of course an interview can work heavily in your favor, letting you explain what was going on and why things have improved.

I reckon someone in the T14 will take you, but probably at sticker. If you're debt adverse, applying a little lower could open up some decent scholarships too.

People are being overly optimistic in this thread. Though I understand that male AA URM is the biggest boost you get, as a MX/PR URM with similar numbers there is a chance OP strikes out. Of course there is a very good chance that one of the T14 will take him, there is also a decent chance none of them will. Having looked at LSN pretty over the past few years for people with similar numbers has basically shown that URMs with these numbers usually get 1, maybe 2 T14s and it is pretty easy to see that it could have easily been none.

While numerically this makes less sense imo (there are probably fewer high LSAT URMs than there are high GPA URMs), that is how law schools do it. Being a superlow GPA URM (sub 3) is usually worse than being a superlow LSAT URM (sub 160).

How did you study for the lsat? I'm sure you will get into a school with that lsat score.

I think E Law is mainly about connections.

If you're an Awesome Alpha male, then I'd say you're a lock anywhere.
