Top Law Schools

I'm still in school and will probably be graduating this week with a 3.57 (but I have a NP) / 173. Do I have a shot at NYU -or any school near it- and should I write an addendum for the NP?

It was my only challenging class of the quarter, I didnt know a NP would be counted as an F for law school, and I was traveling back and forth from home because my mom was recovering from cancer (I got As and Bs in my 3 other classes).

Things about me:

*2nd Tier UC undergrade
*PoliSci Maj/ Hist Minor
*non URM
*taking a year off

Other soft factors:

-Abroad to Asia for the year, best school in the region averaged a 3.7
*Only exchange student ever admitted to globally ranked
debate team
-Interned at:
*Merrill Lynch
*Senator's office
*DA
-Major Upward Trend in GPA, 2.82 first quarter in school to 3.8 average last 2 years
-Major GPA is around a 3.75

I would basically agree with this. Maybe adjust it to a slightly more optimistic WL----> 50/50 In/Out for RD.

is it worth it to addendum the NP because of the situation I described above?

I applied with a 3.49/173. I got a grade request to nyu late in the regular cycle. I didn't follow up because I had decided to go elsewhere but people with similar numbers got in. Check LSN for people with similar numbers. Basically what you can expect, since I have already scoured lsn for people with my numbers, is good shot at GULC, Cornell, and Mich. NW with work experience. NYU/Penn if you are lucky/ED/depends on the cycle. WL at V unless instate or ED. Until I got in on the WL at duke, mich was the only t-14 that offered me money. Most people with our numbers didn't get money in the t-14 except for M.

Nope, didn't apply to schools on the west coast.

I applied to UCLA and USC with your numbers (or close to it).

I was in at UCLA, and didnt hear back from USC before I got my ED decision back so withdrew.
