How much will my 3.95 help me?

Hey all,

This is my first post on this board, although I have been reading it for a while. I am taking the LSAT in June and am currently scoring 165 on my practice tests (still have 5.5 weeks until test) and have a 3.95 Undergrad GPA. My question is, what kind of pull will my 3.95 GPA have? I am shooting for t-14, so what should I reasonably be scoring on the LSAT?

Thank you!

Only as much as your LSAT. Try and get a 168+.

Your GPA is going to work against you during the admissions process, so it's in your best interests to do as well as you can on Law School Admission Test, apply as early as possible, line up some good recommendations and craft a thoughtful personal statement. Good luck.

It was tongue-in-cheek. You have a terrific GPA, and the obvious answer to the thread title is: "a lot."

You provide the worst advice...OP don't listen to him.

Your GPA is high...so do your best on the LSAT and then come back. There is no predicting off prep scores because many score way higher/lower (more common) on the actual test. I have a similar GPA and got several T14 admissions with a 168 (though I am also a veteran which helped some at a few).

try to get 170+. unless you are URM, you are probably not going to get into T-14 without 170+

He'd probably safely break into the T-14 with a 168.

Ahh, first post eh? 168+ should get OP in the lower T14. 173+ then we're talking about HYS territory.

I'm so confuuuuuusedaaaaah.

Sarcasm on here just doesn't fly in a lot of cases. I personally love it but feel that a lot of people really do not appreciate it and kind of hate it. HTH!

166 with ED and a good app. Although I would probably retake 5 times until I get a 170 ... see my club 170 thread for results lol

For Berk, a 166. For everywhere else, 167-168 and up.

Pretty sure TCR is always "Your GPA is [insert adjective here], so take the LSAT really seriously and do as well as you can."
