What type of work experience is best?

I am just wondering if their is any industry in particular that top 25 law schools really favor?

I am just out of undergrad with a business degree but I work in the Surety Industry. It is a really small industry but I spend my day underwriting accounts. Essentially doing everything from looking at credit models, analyzing financials, writing bond contracts, indemnity contracts and also meeting with accounts.

Has anyone come out of this industry and can share their experience with applying to some top schools?

Just to add to that i graduated from a top 25 biz school with 3.4 GPA and a 159 LSAT (3 practice test prep). Planning on taking a course to jump my LSAT up quite a bit.

it's a numbers game. top schools won't even take a glimpse at you without a 170.

what type of work experience is best? to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.

honestly, dealing with the VA is barely worth the money.

yeah, id work on just getting your LSAT up. id rather have applied with a 170 on the LSAT and absolutely no work experience than a ton a work experience and a sub-165 LSAT.

Something that law schools won't give a damn about, but law firms very, very possibly might.
