Greetings,
I am only applying to Georgia State University, part time. I finished Georgia Tech with degree in Atmospheric Sciences 6 years ago, and have been employed as an engineer since that time and have done well. My question is does GPA become less important the further one is removed from being an undergraduate? Can a good lsat score and good work experience make up for my pathetic GPA and get me in? Is it easier to get in somewhere part time?

Splitter with work experience here. Let me help you out.
Check out lawschoolnumbers.com on the Georgia State page. Go back a few years. Looks like some people make it in with similar numbers, and some don't.BeaverHunter wrote:I am only applying to Georgia State University, part time.
Are you sure you only want to go to Georgia State part time? How do you feel about the city of Chicago? Because, uh, no reason.BeaverHunter wrote:I finished Georgia Tech with degree in Atmospheric Sciences 6 years ago, and have been employed as an engineer since that time and have done well.
Depends on the school. Some specific midwest schools are amenable to it. Most west coast schools won't pay any attention to your application.BeaverHunter wrote:My question is does GPA become less important the further one is removed from being an undergraduate? Yes. No idea by how much, it depends on the school.BeaverHunter wrote:Is it easier to get in somewhere part time?
