I was speaking about career prospects. They are much better at UVA than GTown, so if I were you I'd rather go there (UVA) and still be only a couple hours away from family in DC instead of feeling like you needed to stay in DC.splitmuch wrote:Yeah I love and have family in DC so its not a pure ranking thing for me.

Duke seems to have a pretty hard GPA floor well above a 3.09. It just doesn't look like you have a shot there. GT is a maybe, but I don't think it's worth the risk when you could lock up UVA and still be close to DC.
Yeah. I don't think I'd say this if the OP applies in September. That LSAT is pretty fucking stellar. eeeeek. first of all, having the attitude that you want to transfer before you even get to school is really, really bad. if you have the grades at UVA to transfer to HYS (a HUUUUUUGE maybe) you'd much much better off staying at UVA if you're thinking in terms of job prospects. also, there's about a 90-95% chance that you won't have the grades to transfer, so keep that in mindsplitmuch wrote:I guess the other factors would be should I anticipate getting much or any money from Wash U?
