I applied to Harvard/Stanford on December 9th. Wrote in my addendum that I worked full time during college. Do I have a shot?

Lawschoolpredictor.com = about 50% chance.

Yeah, you do, probably more of a shot at Stanford. Your LSAT crushes both of their 75%iles, and is over Stanford's way more so than your GPA is under their 25%ile. Are you a URM? If so, it's a lock. If I were you, I'd start acting like Zack Morris and start looking for a distant Native American relative.

That is not accurate. I would say you have a shot at Stanford if you have extraordinary softs, but Harvard is close to zero with a 3.62 Looking at last year's LSN numbers they only let in two people with a GPA less than 3.65 and they were both URM.

Honestly, I think you have a shot if you make your addendum convincing. I believe I've seen someone with a similar GPA and a 179 get into HLS. If you worked full time during college, that dip should be understandable? I don't think you're an auto-reject, at least. Best of luck to you!

I had a very slightly better GPA and a somewhat better LSAT and was shut out of HYS (and B!). Also applied in October. My app materials could've been below average, and to be accurate I was on the H waitlist before I withdrew, but yeah. Law School Predictor is useful for people with lower numbers.

Thanks everyone!
My addendum was to the point: Worked through school, father sick. I'm not expecting to get into Harvard, but some part of me is still hopeful. No word, and I was under review 12/9.

If no URM from LSN it looks like you have a chance at Harvard but prob not absent some great softs and your GPA is prob too low for Stanford absent HYPS undergrad or serious softs (ie Truman scholar, miitary experience etc). LSP dosen't do that well predicting HYS especially for splitters (not that you are exactly a splitter..but for HYS)
I think you are in at at least one if not all of CCN possibly with $...though or more $ lower in the T14

I'm already in at Berkeley, Columbia and NYU. Didn't apply to Chicago. Just want to see if I can break that final tier...

Tag. We have pretty similar numbers, yours a bit better than mine, so I'm curious how the rest of your cycle goes. We're in at a few of the same schools, but I was rejected from S and am still waiting on H (held)...

I also got into Georgetown... that's about all I applied to. Stanford, Harvard and UCLA haven't gotten back to me. I'll let you know when I hear

Stanford does two rounds of review, one initial set where they review applications in the order in which they were received (seems like they have gotten to early December by now). If they don't reject you during the first round, you go to faculty review which happens in late March or early April.
Some auto-admits get in within several weeks after submission, but you would almost certainly be in the former review process because of your GPA.

It was a little over 3 months from my "under review" date.

Does anyone have an approximation regarding how much I may be offered in grant money from berkeley/Columbia, based on my numbers and being broke?

Anyone who did would just be taking a shot in the dark
