3.42/171 for UNC-Chapel Hill

Hi all,

I've run my numbers through the various calculators and I was wondering what you guys thought of my chances at getting into UNC. I applied to several T-14 schools, but I think I'm getting away from the BigLaw or bust mentality and would be content with going to UNC with the 16k a year tuition.

- I went to UNC for undergrad and am a resident.
- 3.42 GPA with strong upward trend (really messed up sophomore year but everything has been crystal since then)
- 171 on LSAT retake (164 on first, but I think UNC only takes the top score)
- Mediocre softs
- Letter of recommendations from one UNC professor (I think it was good) + one UNC director (probably so-so)
-> The only problem was the "good" LOR got in late. The rest of my application was complete in January, but the LOR just got in this week. My current application status says that they're looking at my residency status.

Also, I was wondering if I would be too late for any scholarship money. I know that a lot of it is given out early in the cycle, so this is probably just grasping at straws.

Thanks for your advice in advance! :D
