what are my chances for: USC and Vandy??

softs:some pretty good work experience, 2 legit letters of rec (1 from woman who used to be the head of the harvard law review, clerked for a supreme court justice, has her own law firm in LA, and teaches at USC)

I've got a 168 (first/only time) and a 3.44 (3.5). Feel free to follow my cycle (my LSN is in my profile)! I got straight up rejected at Vandy with a Why Vandy, LOCI stating that I'd attend if admitted, and a family friend working at the LS... I haven't heard from USC but I'm thinking a WL at best.

FWIW I have w/e at NASA, UCLA UG, excellent LOR's, and what I like to think is a solid personal statement. I also wrote a Why X statement for each school to which I applied. It has really turned out to be a #'s game so far, as everyone predicted in the fall.

Good luck! Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Non-trad here with a successful career, other great softs - unfortunately my cycle has shown it is a numbers game.
