I am an Asian female with VA benefits applying to all of the Minnesota law schools (except UM), Charleston and St. Mary's. I am going to take the LSAT again in June. I graduated from Carson-Newman with a B.S in Health Care Administration. Do you think I have a chance? Or should I just find the finest cardboard box in the neighborhood and move into it?

Definitely retake. How much of LS tuition/COL do VA benefits cover?

I don't think a retake with a much better score will help that GPA at all. Become a nurse.

The numbers in these "chance me" threads are getting lower and lower. What's next? 1.9/136? I can't wait for that thread; it's going to be hilarious.

Or, alternatively, ED to UVA.

Retake. If you can get at least a 197 you might have a shot at GT PT.

It will cover 100% of tuition and a monthly housing allowance. I was really hoping for more constructive criticsm from people with such high GPA's, but I guess this is one of those websites where smart losers go to dump on people so they can feel better about themselves. Maybe I should become a counselor then I can help all of these people that replied to my post. I will start now...
I'm sorry your mom locked you in a closet and now you determine a persons worth based on grades. Just because people are good at taking tests doesn't mean that they aren't lazy, or crazy, or devoid of common sense. For example, look the replies I got from you Neanderthals.

Honestly, I know people can be blunt here, but you need to retake.
Debt isn't a problem, so go to the best school you can...to make up for your GPA you need a higher LSAT. 143 is significantly below median and with a crappy GPA no (worthwhile) school will take you.

1. You asked for criticism. You got criticism. Be careful what you ask for.
2. They're right. My friend has a much higher GPA than you and the same score and is having a really hard time getting into even Tier 3 schools, so good luck with your shot at law school.
4. No, how well you do on your LSAT does not determine how smart you are. Some of it is intelligence. A lot of it just familiarity and how hard you studied. That means you're right. However, it also means that you should be able to pull up your score, regardless of your intelligence.
5. Your thinly veiled defense mechanism is cute. They must be Neanderthals because they treated you poorly, and no one who treats your poorly is not a Neanderthal. I'm not sure it really works that way. Just sayin'.
6. I'd suggest your grow a tougher skin if a) you plan to stick around and/or b) you plan to go to law school.

You totally missed the point of school ranking vs. LSAT and what the LSAT measures. Read on, soldier.

you have bad credentials. you will attend a bad law school. even people with good GPA/LSAT and graduating with good grades from good law schools are not getting jobs.
and your thread is boring
