Northwestern Law - Splitter

Hey all, i've gotten responses from 3/4 of my submitted apps and all have been acceptances, so i'm starting to doubt if i 'reached' enough with my applications
My numbers are 166/2.5 and i've been out of school for 4 years. my softs aren't really all that impressive, but i know Northwestern really likes older applicants, but i am doubting whether it's worth my time/energy/money to apply with them.
as for softs, i have some volunteer work with various political campaigns, was (overly) active in UG, and have 3 years management experience.
I'm thinking about applying to Northwestern, but i want to know: what are my chances?

Sorry to say, but you don't have much of a chance, unless you are a Rhodes Scholar or a URM. If you retook the LSAT and got over a 170 you have a shot.

no need to be sorry, i just want some honest, if brutal, truth. like i said, i have gotten in everywhere i've applied (with one still hanging in the balance) and have been questioning how high i reached.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I took a 3 year break and finished w/ a 4.0 grad GPA but will end up with a 3.1 or so as far as law school is concerned.
I took the december lsat and will say that I did not get anywhere close to where I was PTing.
Either way, as far as NW is concerned, you're going to need compelling LORs/PS & a 170+ GPA to mitigate the soulcrushing reality of a low GPA. But, it is possible. Apparently, if you have a big jump on your next LSAT, they might not bother averaging the two if you write a convincing addendum.
Good luck. I just pissed down my leg in DEC and have to wait a cycle to really get my shit together and do it right this time. So, maybe we'll both get lucky and I'll see you in 2012.

OP, you are the prime NW splitter candidate...... if you had a 172 LSAT. You have all but zero chance at NW. Sorry, OP.

+1. There's a pretty big difference between Depaul/Chicago-Kent and Northwestern.
