I've looked around, and I know that my chances at a lot of my schools are slim (I kind of knew that when I applied, but I decided--to hell with it). Given that I got into a school I wasn't expecting to get into, I can't figure out how being a URM will play into the decision process. Thoughts?

162 LSAT (Second time)
3.722 (Michigan undergrad); LSDAS 3.78
Strong writer/solid PS
Solid recommendations, including one from the CEO/Founder/President of a non-profit I worked for
Volunteer work
Double Major
Honors Thesis

Black
Female
LGBT
Hispanic - not Mexican or Puerto Rican

Columbia
Cornell
Fordham
Brooklyn
NYU - Applied after a fee waiver
Yale - I know that the letter might as well say LOL JK, but Yale is much too polite for that.
BU
Northeastern - Accepted
Harvard - Same as Yale
Penn
George Washington
Georgetown - Accepted
William and Mary - Applied after a fee waiver
Duke - Applied after a fee waiver and priority track

out at Penn?

I don't really get into the "chances" debates, and I won't here, but I'm curious about your rationale on that one.

Totally a legit point!

Weirdly, a lot of my friends who didn't hear back from Penn early on with similar numbers did not get in last year. Purely anecdotal speculation.
