3.14 gpa/168 lsat --- NOBODY HAS THESE NUMBERS! UCLA???

Post by usctoucla » Thu Jan 13, 2011 4:00 am

I am dying to go to UCLA. It is my #1 choice and always has been. I was a Business Admin. major at USC with a Psych. minor and individualized concentration. Lost hold of my GPA due to the several statistics/calculus classes I had to take with my major. I have a ton of entertainment work experience, and I am applying with a clear intention to enter the Entertainment and Media Law Program at UCLA. I have visited a class, met the program's president and spoken with the dean of admissions on a few short occasions. I want nothing more than to go to this school.

So tell me, does my GPA sign my own death certificate....or do I have a shot?

are you URM?
If not, you have no chance.
It seems that UCLA likes high GPAs and with ur LSAT u would need at least a 3.5 or so...

No URM, but I am bi-racial. I have an upward trend, and in 2 subsequent semesters I took a 5-course workload. Im also a CA resident.

You have no shot at UCLA. They loathe low GPA's, I'd even say a URM with those numbers EDing wouldn't even get UCLA.

I'd retake the LSAT, get 170+, and aim for something like MVP.
