Top Law Schools

Chances? 3.4, 163, URM, RPCV

I've applied to 9 schools including (top choices) Michigan, Duke, Georgetown, UNC...

Anybody have an idea of where I stand?

Based on looking at your name, I'm afraid to tell you Cuban isn't URM. In some instances people have gotten boosts, but you cannot count on it. So you should add some lower ranked safety schools to your list. You very well may get a boost, I am hoping for a similar boost this cycle, but as I said before, don't count on it.

See, I had read that before applying to these schools, but it turns out that of the schools I mentioned, only UNC made the distinction between types of Hispanic: Mexican/Chicano, Puerto Rican, Other. As far as the other schools know, I'm as hispanic and as much a URM as the other groups.

No school has asked if I'm a URM--they just ask if I'm Hispanic, and the answer is yes.

Would being a returned Peace Corps volunteer not weigh in too?

In addition to that, I have a lot more softs and I'm interested in Public Interest law... does that matter?
