Chances? 3.82/168!

First time taker! Not a URM. Nothing out of the ordinary really.
What would be my chances at t-25 schools?
Also 3.82 is with my latest semester which I've sent an updated copy to LSAC. If it arrives late to schools since I already sent out my apps in Mid December will it matter?

Any opinions? Best school that I have a good shot at?

Best school you have a shot at is probably Cornell. Although, Michigan, maybe, could happen with an ED next cycle. Although, I wouldn't bank on it. You should get into most schools outside of the t14 though.

How good would my chances at Cornell and Michigan be? Could I bank on any inside the t14?

I think you're in at Cornell. Borderline at Michigan. Those are the only two T14s that you have a realistic chance at attending. Maybe Berkeley, but your application needs to be really good (including a Berkeley-centric PS).

Ok thanks! I didn't apply to Berkeley. I hope I get into one of Cornell or Michigan.

I think you will get into Cornell as long as your app is good. But, you NEED ED to Michigan to get in, and that is still borderline.

So my app will need to be pretty spectacular for Cornell? Or good as in just ok?

ED @ Penn could also be fruitful

OP should all every top 20 school except YHS, and Virginia. And then lower ranked schools in markets you want to practice.
Slight chance at CCN
Small to medium chances at each of MBPDNG
Good shot at Cornell.

Good as in, no glaring problems.

I think you should pay attention more to the calculators. When they say "no realistic shot" - it doesn't mean don't apply. I bet if you applied to 5 of these "no realistic shot" you'd get into at least one of them - which may be worth it in the end. I think some of these answers are a bit more off-the-cuff and speculative than you should be looking for... just a thought. I've had advice from here about what I need, and what are "good softs" - said with a lot of confidence - only to be told by admissions decision-makers that they were wrong.

No realistic shot as in, 9 times out of 10 that person isn't getting in. Sure, if you want to send in apps to those places, go ahead, but 95% of the time people with your numbers are going to be rejected. Also, admin officers are notoroius for spouting bullshit that isn't true because it is the company line. Most people on here have been through the cycle and/or seen tons of other people go through cycles while also doing quite a bit of sifting through LSN. People know what they are talking about.

I'd be happy if Cornell or Michigan took me anyways!
