Where do you want to practice? Why are you interested in law school? What schools are you considering? These are all questions that will help us (you) find schools that could be good fits. Whatever you decide, the applications need to go out ASAP!

I live in Michigan and want to get out of the state. Frankly, I'm willing to practice anywhere. I'm considering a shotgun approach to schools ranked 35-60. Maybe IU-Bloomington and Iowa as reaches. Everything is ready to go, apps will be out by monday, if I can decide on some specific schools. What would my chances be at Villanova and Loyola-Chicago?

I'm considering a retake, so please don't suggest it! I want to send out some apps anyhow. Any suggestions as to where I should apply?

Thanks!

Probably right, but for shits and giggles, where would this get me?

In a lot of debt for no good reason. I know you're looking for real suggestions, but honestly, it can't be done. Even a few extra points would probably give you UCLA with that GPA. You're infinitely better off retaking. If you get to a 165 or so you have a decent shot at some really good schools.

Haha, I know you all think I should retake! I still want to send out some apps though. Just throw me some schools that my acceptance might come down to a flip of a coin or something, maybe I'll get lucky :P

It can't hurt to try, right?

This is what my exact numbers were after the June LSAT, I retook it and got a 163. Even with this score I'm thinking about taking a year off and retaking, but probably won't. Getting into the 160's does open a lot of options, although the only school I've gotten into that I probably wouldn't have before is W&L. I would retake if a 159 isn't cutting it for where you want to go. You might be able to get into Iowa where you stand.

Thank you for a real answer, kind sir! I will roll the dice with Iowa!
