Top Law Schools

i started this thread on the admissions board as well, wasnt sure where it was more appropriate.

finalizing my applications now, expect to have everything in by january 15th.

im applying with a 172/3.85, applying to most of the t14. how much have i hurt my chances by applying this late?

particularly interested in stanford, columbia & nyu fwiw. tia

Just apply, see what happens, and if you don't like it take a cycle off.

Just apply, see what happens, and if you don't like it take a cycle off.

This. Your chances are obviously better if you apply early next cycle, but it can't hurt to take a stab at them now, unless you can't afford the application fees.

You've got great numbers, but it is seriously late in the admissions season. Apply and see what happens. I wouldn't be surprised if you end up taking a year off though.

Exactly. You have strong scores, and probably would have been a lock for at least the bottom half of the T14 had you applied earlier. Even so, you will probably get into at least one T14 (simply basing it on your scores). The competition is tougher this late in the game for the top schools, but not insurmountable.
