just got my dec. score back... 177! so: 6 years out of undergrad,WE but nothing spectacular... what are my chances?
and more specifically, should I ED to UVA? this is something I'm struggling with...I want to go to the strongest school possible, but I also want to get a good deal, so a scholarship would be nice.

Your best shot is ED UVA, but no scholly. Highest school you will get scholly from is WUSTL. Take your pick.

Make up your mind whether you'd prefer a top school or a bit lower school with a scholarship and then act on that decision.
Splitters aren't known for getting very good scholarship deals, the best would probably be something around 30k/year at some place like GW/WUSTL/UIUC and the like.
You have a decent shot at NU regular decision even if you don't ED to UVa, but if you want that guarantee then ED to UVa. This is what I would do, but then again I'd rather take UVa at sticker than a 2/3 scholarship at the above mentioned schools.

You're not getting money anywhere in the T14. If you want to go to the best school possible, a few T14 schools will take you RD. Apply broadly within the T30 (next cycle preferably) and see who bites.
