3.76, 165~169

GPA: 3.76 (but still a Junior) at a top 30 school
LSAT: PT consistently around 165~169 (raw score 86-87), waiting on my real score from December 11th (if I didn't do as well as I did on practice tests I'll retake it in June)
Other: I'm female, Hispanic (but not Mexican or Puerto Rican so that probably doesn't matter) and sadly not a Virginia resident (UPDATE: no longer true, I'm Virginian as far as admissions is concerned, see below post). I'll probably do a diversity statement (multiple citizenship, multiple languages, lots of traveling -- I think I'm diverse)

Assuming I get a 167 & my GPA stays around 3.76, what are my chances for admission & $ to start in Fall '12 at:

ED at either U Penn or UVA (which would I have a better chance at?)
Georgetown
Vanderbilt
U Michigan
Duke
Cornell
Berkeley / Boalt
Washington U in St. Louis
George Washington

Also I'd appreciate any suggestions of good schools in my range... especially if you think there are too many reaches here...

Hispanic (non mx or pr) here to let you know that it matters! If you get closer to a 169 I advise you to apply to some higher ranked schools and try your luck. I EDd to M and got a boost (check profile for stats). You will probably get some great fee waivers as well; I got fee waivers almost everywhere from Penn down. Good luck and don't sell yourself short!

Being a non M/PR is not going to give you a URM boost from what I hear, but you should definately write a diversity statement as it will give you an implicite boost. But for the rest come back when you get that LSAT score.

Plus, really try to break that 170 as it will make a huge difference for you.

Thanks for the advice, Ragged. My PT high was 172, but I don't think the actual December LSAT went that well -- the games sections was tough and I panicked. :( Upper 160s is more likely.

On a brighter note, turns out that, for admissions purposes, I'm a Virginia resident. My folks are moving there now (remember I'm a junior) and will qualify as having lived in Virginia 12 months "by the first week of classes" I'll attend there if accepted (that's what matters, I checked their website) , which means I'm in state! YAY :)
