3.67, 175

I want to go to UChicago, Berkeley, or Duke.

My GPA not including freshman year is 3.84, if that matters any. I always get complimented on my work/research experience in interviews. Also, I am an undergrad at one of these institutions.

I always thought my numbers gave me a great shot at these schools, based on the medians I've seen posted elsewhere. But on these forums I'm seeing 3.67 called "out" pretty often and I'm getting worried. Thoughts?

Berkeley loves GPA. You should have a better shot at CCN then you will have at Berkeley (though you still have a decent shot). While Duke likes GPA too, 3.67 should be high enough to make sure you're in good shape. Chicago can be weird and less by the numbers than Columbia or NYU, but you should still be in good shape.

I would say at the very least you'll be in at one of the three, more likely you'll be in at two of the three, and you have a shot of a sweep at all three. That's just my opinion though. Berkeley will depend a decent amount on how good your softs and essay are though. Good luck.

Check LSN and hourumd.com if you have time to waste.

Chicago is a stretch but if you have an upward trend you have a good shot. Duke = in, Stanford I'd say no.

Apply to all of CCN and MVP. You might get some $. Boalt is a rough choice with your GPA but you might get in. Duke should be good.
